My Daily Hair Routine

I have been off-track my daily hair routine because of all the stress and the demands in college. But now, I decided to return to my daily hair routine.

Things I don't go inside the bathroom without: [for hair only]

• Baking Soda Solution [every other day]
• Conditioner [everyday]
• Shampoo [once a week]

That's basically it.

Baking Soda Solution
I've done a lot of research on using Baking Soda for the hair. It does have its wonderful uses for the hair. First, it saves your hair from over-conditioning. When you use too much heavy conditioners, the chemicals stack up. That's gonna be hard to remove, and baking soda just does that. Second, it's all natural. Meaning, no side effects on your hair.

I prepare the solution by adding a 1.25 tablespoon of baking soda for every one glass of tap water. I read that the amount would depend on your hair type - whether it be greasy, oily, and it also depends on how curly it is. I store my baking soda solution in a wash bottle.

The undissolved baking soda settles when unused so better shake it before using it.

I pour the solution directly on my scalp. I then massage my scalp to make sure every corner is cleaned.


Conditioner

 When you're using heavy conditioners, always remember that less would be always more. More conditioner might just lead to more frizz and higher chances of over-conditioning your hair.

I just pour large coin size on my palm, rub my hands together, and apply them from the tips, slowly reaching the scalp. I let it stay for about 2-3 minutes in my hair. I soap while I let the conditioner get absorbed by my hair.




I don't really use shampoo that much because shampoo is a detergent, and detergents are harsh on our hair. Every time I use a shampoo, my hair usually gets double frizz. I occasionally use shampoo just for the reason of cleaning my scalp once in a while. Well, I have baking soda doing that duty anyway.


My styling products

• Gatsby Water Gloss/Wet Look
• Brazil Nut Define & No Frizz (The Body Shop)
• Vaseline Total Moisture Lotion

I don't use them all in the same day - just depends on my mood.


After showering, I dry my hair with my previously worn shirt as rubbing my hair with a towel will just encourage frizz to build up once my hair is dry. I crunch my hair with the shirt from the tips to the scalp to increase volume on my hair. Then I use one of my styling products. I've read that the best way to fight frizz is to prepare the hair before it gets dry. So I use these products on my wet hair.


Gatsby Gel

 My hair type's around 2b-2c (wavy). Frizz tendency is really high so I use this to let my hair stand in place. I apply some on my hand, rub them against each other and comb the product evenly on my hair. That's it.

But when I want some more spiral action on my hair, I do use the Skip Curl method using this gel. I apply a small amount on a portion of my hair, then I start twisting my hair (based on the way my hair naturally curls) and then I release it.

Note: Once you're done using a styling product on a portion of your hair, NO TOUCHY!!

Brazil Nut Define & No Frizz

I just love using this on a bad hair day. Lessens the frizz on your hair and adds a very exotic smell on it too. I place a small amount on my palm then I rub my hands together and apply it evenly on my hair. I comb my hair with my hands to neaten it up.



Vaseline Total Moisture

G-Crush

Right when I thought I wouldn't see him anymore - his cute, kissable lips, his nerdy glasses and his bangs that naturally sway to the side of his face - bam! I saw him. I saw him in the cafeteria. I tried to smile at him but my lips ignored my orders. I saw him, looking. That's where my heart started jumping. Might it be because he remembers me from my "Slave 4 U" performance during camp? :)) =)) Well, I don't know, but it seems he remembers me.

Valentines

Happy Valentines to everyone! ^_^ especially to all those who had their intimate dates today. That, is so not me though. Well, Cupid got lost on his way to our house. Can't blame him. His tiny puffy wings might had been tired already. Well, as usual, I celebrated Singles Awareness Day instead :))

The streets might have been busy with romantic couples walking hand in hand along the sidewalks of the busy street, along the grassy fields of the park, or just out on a romantic dinner; I spent it alone, with my thoughts flung hundreds of meters away from my loveless soul, the same thoughts that had been haunting me these past nights - thoughts about my crushes, about someone who I truly admire which I, myself, deny - A LOT.

RANDOM THOUGHT: I love reading novels, and I truly love the most recent ones I've read: Hush Hush and Crescendo. I'm down to the last book, Silence (won't spoil anything MUCH here, just buy the series and be amazed! O.O) and it kind of bothered me. Isn't it sad to meet someone whom you met and loved before but you couldn't remember anything about him? Isn't it sad that he still protects you no matter what even if the price is you not knowing him AT ALL?

Post-exam Getaway

Well, it was our ChE 101 exam, and I know you guys know it: after a mind-twisting midterm or long exam, it just feels like you want to push your brain's reset button and shut it down for a while - just for a few days even. So, as a therapy, we decided to eat it out and toss it aside.

We ate @ Pizza Hut, Technohub. ^_^ We ordered a family-sized Meat Lovers pizza, and our own 99-peso Saver's Meals. After filling in our gas tanks, we burned them away in Timezone! Hardcore Dance Dance Revolution + Videoke + basketball + MORE Dance Dance Revolution. WHEW! With that, I have no doubt that we forgot that we even had an exam a while ago. :)) *bangs head*

Light Before the Dark

December 2012, the so-called "end of the world" is just around the corner. Months away from now. We might not even realize it coming. 

Everything became a mystery: how the world became to exist; how the world changed; how humans evolved or how humans were created. Every piece of life, every second of it, is a sparkle amidst the great ocean of darkness the world has become. Every bit of life became a ray of hope, but thinking that all of this, everything we know, will come to an end - months from now. I'm not saying that I believe the Mayan calendar. I'm not saying I want the world to end. But what if? The biggest question we can ask is "what if it's true?" Are we ready?

I'm not ready to see the earth splitting, the sky falling, the ground shaking, everything built strong and tall crumbling to their knees. I'm not ready for something fatal that nothing is certain. Nothing at all. Who would survive? What comes after? I'm not ready to face the end. I'm just not ready. My life, as I know it, has just yet to begin. I haven't LIVED.

I have been isolating myself - a lot - from the world. I have been busy with myself. I just came to realize after asking myself "what if the world will really end this December?" that why not enjoy this life, this world, while I still have it? There's nothing to lose right? There are so many books that will remain unread, so many treasures unclaimed, so many souls yet to meet, so many goals yet to achieve. But with only so little time left, will there be time to do all of that? Why not go outside, enjoy the restless souls around you and whatnot meet them and be friends? Why not go outside in the fields of green, relax and feel the embrace of nature? I haven't started living yet, but I know I need to wake up and live every single day to the fullest - like my last day. Everything's not permanent, so why not get a grasp of it while it's still there? I'm dead right now, but I know... I need to start living someday.

New Pokemon Cards

When I got the chance to go to Robinsons Galleria, I didn't miss my chance to check out Courtside. It's a hobby store where regular Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments were being held. I bought a HS Triumphant Pokemon booster pack and a singles card.

 The Klingklang I bought from their singles collection. Bought it for 60php. Well, I think it's worth it because of the Charge Beam (30) attack's effect and a whopping 80 damage from that Zap Cannon. I actually wanted to buy the rare Klingklang with the Ability: Gear Shift (if I remember it right). It allows the user to transfer the energy cards of any pokemon in play to another pokemon in play. But that costs 150php, and I may have to save up on that one. But for now, this will do.

I know, Victreebel kicks ass in this one! :))

Resident Evil 6

Here's the story so far:

It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President’s side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world’s population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.

In United States - the President is about to come clean over bioterrorism when he himself mutates into a zombie. Later, Leon is informed by Hunnigan that a town has been overrun, some 70,000 people.

Chris Redfield and the BSAA are in a war-torn China. Chris is seen arguing with a teammember about an unidentified woman responsible for the deaths of many BSAA agents. It is also known that there are bioterrorist attacks taking place at random all over the world.

But Chris without Jill? o.O And the bald guy, where the new girl said "The world needs you,", then he replied "Not me, my blood." Does that mean he has the antivirus running through his blood? And I think the girl is the reincarnation(LOL) of Rebecca Chambers. But still, I want my Jill Valentine!

From what I could see, the movie's gonna be action packed. Giant tyrants chasing them off, apocalypse, and stuff. But what surprised me was the appearance of Michelle Rodriguez. Yes I know she would be returning to reprise her role as Rain Ocampo. If you could all remember, she turned into a zombie in the first RE movie after minutes of getting bitten. So I was expected to see her a zombie this time. But no! If you watched the trailer, she's purely HUMAN!! Well I believe she's cloned. Here's the proof:

Q: We talked to Oded Fehr a little bit earlier and he was saying how you're playing a dual role in this movie and how you're defying your usual roles and playing that up a bit. Can you talk more about that?

A: Yeah, that was fun. Well, basically Paul's original idea was that a UPS worker would be one of the clones and then we got together and we started to brainstorm and we came up with this juxtaposition of me playing a tomboy all the time and he said, "wouldn't it be nice to see you feminine, Michelle?" And I was like, "yes, that would be nice before it all wrinkles up and I can't use it anymore." So I figured I'd might as well do it. I threw on some high heels, added a nice little 'hippy twist' to the whole thing and before you know it, I'm driving a Prius in "zombieland." It was pretty cool.

Q: What are some of the challenges of oscillating back and forth between "Good Rain" and "Bad Rain"?

A: You know, I find it kind of fun because I've played the same character for so long that it's kind of like I am always an exaggerated version of my angry side. I'm so comfortable with her that it was kind of cool and fun to play something awkward and different- someone who is quirky and doesn't know how to handle a gun and someone who is curious. I kind of feel like an audience member while playing that character because I'm like "what the hell is going on here? Why are you dressed like a superhero? How come there are dead people walking around on the streets?"

So she's gonna play "Good Rain" and "Bad Rain". And woooooot! I can finally see Michelle Rodriguez playing girly girly again! :)

We also get to see Ada Wong, Leon Kennedy, Barry Burton (RE1), and yes, JILL VALENTINE. Can't wait to see her being bad and kick-ass.

Sienna Guillory's (Jill Valentine) Interview:

I know the fights are more complex for this one, like how much more physicality do you get to do?
 Guillory: So much more. This fight sequence is over 200 moves which is like longer than a fight sequence in The Bourne Identity was. It’s immense. It was brilliant and I’ve been working on it every day since we got here and I’m very happily whittling away too. It’s a very beautiful fight and it’s all sorts of- well, they’re trying to incorporate things that have never been done before with weapons that haven’t been done already and using aerial moves- it is quite poetic actually.

The opening move is one of Jill Valentine’s melee moves where she throws herself up in the air and spins around, then lands and kicks guns around, then flips and goes into a beautiful fight that evolves into just a brutal, nasty fist fight which is kind of great.

Tell us where Jill has been since Apocalypse because she’s seemed to have undergone a transformation of sorts.

Guillory: Well, in the game she’s been captured by Wesker and he’s put the boob-ament (the spider) on which controls her. There’s actually, for someone who’s completely inept at these things- well, I’m not very good at video games. So you can watch all the movie moments of Jill’s on YouTube and you can really see her, feel her and get a sense of who she is and what her story is. And there are these moments where they finally de-scarab her and she says ‘you know, I was aware of everything I was doing but I couldn’t do anything to stop it.’ So this kind of an indication that she’s in this inner turmoil, which I think is kind of great and I’m glad we’ve got places here where we can play with that. But here we are where Jill is under Umbrella control and she’s the baddie.

Gravy Fix!

My friends and I agreed to go to Gravy Fix along Katipunan after our CWTS class. Gravy Fix's specialty would be their varying types of gravy you can order along with the food. They got Home Style Gravy, Herb and Garlic, Cajun, Mushroom Duet, Tipsy Gravy, Juan de la Sarsa(?). We agreed on getting three different types of gravy and then we'll try each other's. The waitress smilingly approached us, with her khaki polo and apron, and said that gravy refills are FREE!!!. We could even get another gravy if we ask for a refill. So that sparked an idea - us getting a refill and asking for a another type of gravy til we tasted them all. :)

my friends and I have already tried this once. It's
a gravy with red wine in it. I'm not sure, but I
don't think I like the taste of gravy and red wine

and alcohol together, then woot this one is for you!

We actually looked at the ingredients and found out
that this one contained a kind of wine. But the wine-y

[SL] New Outfit: New Hope

I've been playing Second Life for over a year now, and I really find it a fascinating, addictive game. You get to meet a lot of people, and be what you wanna be.

So in SL, I work as a hostess and as a real estate agent and after getting my pay, I went to a shopping spree!!

Fireworks

A particle of light flies through the night sky like stars rushing to meet the moon. They bloom into flowers of color and light. Flowers that roar thought the quiet night. Flowers growing, nearing enough to devour you.  Flashes of blue, red, yellow and white fill the sad dark night sky with party lights. I just really do think fireworks are very romantic.

Imagine lying down on a green grassy hill, with your girl/boyfriend lying right next to you. You can feel the warmth of their body and breath and their soft hands laying on yours. The night sky becomes a huge screen of art and romance as the colors dance through the night. You seem them stare you, smiling as your hands clamp onto each other. Imagine the lovely view with a lovely company.

One day, when I get to know my soulmate. We would definitely do this. Not on a grassy hill, but definitely we'd have a date on a fireworks display.

What Do Dreams Tell You?

I keep dreaming every single night, weird, funny, awesome dreams. I see it fascinating to meet familiar faces in my dreams. But what sometimes is scary is that meeting unfamiliar, strangers in your dreams.

One night I had a nightmare that I still carry until now. A nightmare that would be hard to forget. A nightmare that broke me into pieces of shattered glass, hammered by fear and worry.

It was all white. EVERYTHING was white. I thought I was dead - probably in heaven I thought. No sound and nothing but bare emptiness. I felt alone for a little while until I notice a little girl probably wearing a truffle skirt that fell inches under her knees and a yellow tank top. She stopped in front of me, her body still facing her direction. Then she looked at me - with her black orbs of mystery, with her face as blank as the place. What was she looking at? Then suddenly, people started walking left and right, intersecting with my line of vision. And as they come across my sight, the stopped for a while and looked at me. Some heads tilted and some heads straight. Why are they staring at me? What do I even look like right now? The fear punched through my heart like daggers of death and suffering. I felt my legs kick back and forth as I try to awake myself but I couldn't. That was until my mom had shaken me to my consciousness again.

Dreams like those or happy dreams. What do they mean? Their meanings have intrigued me a lot. Were the events in the dreams are literally their portrayed meaning? But then again, my mom once told me that some dreams mean the opposite especially bad dreams or nightmares. But what if they're warnings? The question still remains in my head until now. Even with a little research, I still don't know what to think about dream interpretations.

When You Love It, You Do It. No Matter What

Monday; January 9, 2011.

Day of the first long exam for Engineering Science 11 - ES 11. I was prepared. I passed through the questions with full confidence. I knew I studied well to know what I was doing. I was among the first ones to finish, so I went thundering out of the room in order to catch up with dance training.

Our dance training was scheduled at 5:00pm until 8:00pm. I knew I would be running late. I asked permission as my exam was around 4-6pm, and it would take me 30 minutes minimum and an hour tops to go the studio. Nevertheless, I made it. I arrived at about 6:40pm, and my fellow applicants were already reviewing the choreography that were taught to us last year. But something was different. It was hot. The room was clouded with mist of humidity and the walls and the floor excreted. The air conditioner was broken. In the midst of the heat and the slippery floor, we knew we had to train for a couple of reasons. The first one being that it's part of our requirements as applicants in order to become a member of the club. The second one was that we needed to learn the choreography. Next would be that we paid for the rent of the studio so every second counts. And the last, but not the least, because we loved dancing.

New Year's Resolution [List]

Since it's a new year already, 2012. I've been having a thought of actually listing down my New Year's Resolution and might have to actually do them this time. ^_^ I've also decided that I won't include naughty stuff too. *laughs*.

This *might* be my list:
> Clean my room once in a while (I'm a lazy person and everyone knows that. I think. I tell myself that i'll clean my room the next day but I end up postponing it to the next day. The cycle repeats until my room ends up being cleaned by my mom. Haha. So I think I should be the one cleaning my room this time.)

> Acads first before anything else when I get home (Well, I think I have improved on this a whole lot last year.)

> Do chores once in a while (Ha! I might have a little trouble adjusting to this one. But who knows!)

I'll still have to think what else to put in this!! *laughs* This is a SHORT list! Oh my.

I See You!

I slid my Pokemon deck inside my little green sling bag. I was ready for tomorrow - the much anticipated reunion of Elem4. It was already 1am. No much lights from outside my window. The streets were quiet already. Though I know somewhere out there lurking in the dark were teenagers by-standing on the roads doing who knows what. Drugs? I didn't know. Well I only knew it was time for me to call it a day and throw myself onto my bed and sleep.

I laid on my bed, staring at ceiling - staring at the white paint that went spiking down a little. Lights from jeepneys passing by would illuminate them once in a while. But my room was still very dark. I closed my eyes. That's when I heard the sound.

"I seeee yoooouuu!" the voice said. It was a voice that would likely be heard in the horror movies. This time, I didn't hear it from my TV. It came from my right side of my pillow and I was startled. Frightened. A tingle went running down my spine. Then I remembered it was my ringtone. FAIL!!!!!
