Have you ever asked your friends about something you made and you were expecting for a reply like "it was amazing" or "it was great", or just even "it was good", but then all you got was "it could have been better"? Well that, for a fact is true. Also, everything in this world could have been better. Our parents could have been better parents, our teachers could have been better teachers, our desks could have been better desks, and even the floor could have been a better floor. But sometimes for us, something can be amazing, but then it could still have been better. What's the difference? The difference is that we are content with that something that's why we think it is perfect, but actually it could have been better. Everything in this world could have been better but it depends if you are already content with it.
